Cocalarizarea Facebook-ului in 6 pasi simpli :)

Cum va avea loc aceasta cocalarizare a Facebook`ului?

  4. You say students from private universities are part of the problem, but then you forget that Harvard students were the founders. Doesn’t get much more expensive than that. If you have a problem with these people, just don’t add them or accept them as friends. Facebook is what you make of it, not what other people are doing. Trying to say it’s trashy or cocalar is stupid and misses the point of facebook entirely, since it’s only for people you know. If you know cocalari, then that’s your problem and not facebook’s.
(I hope I understood your theory, but my Romanian’s not fantastic)

In jur de 30,000 Euro anual!!!! Ahaaaaaaaaaa… deci nu compari mere cu pere!

  6. Harvard is Harvard (80,000$ / year in USA ) and private college in romania is… 600$ / year… so where is the truth???

    From Harvard website: OFFICIAL DATA:
Our most recent program enhancement, announced in December of 2007, has dramatically reduced the amount we expect families to contribute to the cost of their student’s Harvard education. We no longer require students to take out loans, and parents of financial aid recipients are asked to contribute on average from zero to ten percent of their annual income, with no contribution expected for families with incomes of under $60,000. Those parents with annual incomes of between $120,000 and $180,000 are asked to contribute an average ten percent of their income, with a declining percentage — from ten to zero — for parents with annual incomes between $120,000 and $60,000.

  7. Average USDollars earned per person per year in the USA: 46,443
Average USDollars earned per person per year in Romania: 7,503

There’s your truth… but facebook isn’t a club for rich people.

That doesn’t change the fact that Harvard university, like any university on the planet, will be full of just as many dicks as, say, the RAU in Bucharest. My point is that facebook is a site where you connect with people you know personally, therefore if it gets filled with gypsies and chavs, who cares? You don’t need to see them, you can still use the site because you’re interacting with your friends and not perfect strangers like on Hi5.

Always reject people you don’t know. Those people are creeps.

  8. @the avenger let me tell you something you don`t know about RO: it is true “Average USDollars earned per person per year in Romania: 7,503” but, 85% of people in Romania earn under $2,000 USD / year and the rest of 5% of population have the 80% of the money in RO, this 5% of new rich people earn very very much money from illegal activities such as black market, people exploatation, fiscal evasion and so on because the whole system in Romania is very corupt and everybody stole as much they can especialy politicians and administrators.
There are milions of people in Romania who survive with 100$ or maximum 200$ / monthly! This is Romania!
About RAU, its a joke, a good joke, this is not a real university, most of the teachers from private universities have the main job at state owned university, anyway, the quality of school in private universities in Romania is very very poor and the “private students” are very very poor learners and small minds, 99% of them are the candidates rejected from state owned universities.

  10. I was just trying to make sense of your university price comparison – the difference in what is earned is what makes the difference in price. I’m well aware of the social and economical divide in Romania, but I don’t see what this has to do with facebook.

You predict a downfall, but I don’t think it ever will in that way. No one is going to permanently switch over to twitter, so until something better arrives that even more of my friends join I’ll be staying. It lets me share photos with my friends and no one else and tells me what everyone is doing; that’s all I need along with a bit of messaging. Plus, I have a mild addiction to Mafia Wars.

Face it, Facebook has us by the balls and no one is going to think you’re a cocalar because you are on it, ever.

  11. @the avenger imagine that you ask a 20 years old boy or girl what he/she done for life in Romania, 90% of them will tell you “i`m student” but this person doesn`t go to college not even 30 days / year. as you know, in Wien, where are you now, or in amsterdam the procentage of students is much more lower, that means a good separation of work and responsabilities.
The big pain in Romania is that the suckers who don`t deserve an college licence and attend a “private university” will get the best jobs thanks to them parents and relatives, and the best specialists from well knowed state universities will not gain access to vital points of economy/culture/politics/social because these points are taken by “private students”.
The big problem in Romania is not the poverty, the real problem is the morality, education and corupted system, the proof is that more that 20% of romanians run away from Romania and many of them don`t even want to remember about Romania or primary language spoken.

And… facebook/hi5 will provide many more romanian bitches for western europe and so on 🙂
Anyway, thanks for Viena students visitor on my blog, your remarques are always welcome here.

  12. You don’t seriously think that this is different anywhere else do you? That people who have contacts, have rich parents, have that extra little bit of help don’t get further in life? It’s called Vitamin C and you don’t find it in oranges. Contacts are everything, everywhere. However, that doesn’t mean that only they get successful. The problem is that once people make it (legally or not), they don’t want to help anyone apart from who they know either. It’s human nature to take care of your family and friends over some poor sod you don’t understand anyway.

Also, I’m not entirely convinced there’s a lower percentage of students here than in Romania. In fact I would have thought it’s the opposite especially here, what with there being no university fees anymore. Our halls are jammed full with students on a daily basis, although these days I also only really go if I have to. The rest of the stuff I learn at home, lectures are unbearable to go to because the room is so full.

Believe me, there are people in every government, business or organisation who don’t deserve to be there, there are fantastic example I could site here of incompetence at the highest levels of society. It’s just the way things are. People have to network to get anywhere, even get to know people a bit better who they don’t even like so that their name gets remembered. (but not on facebook or hi5. In real life.)
